Spotlighting Black Creators On Etsy

In June 2023 we began working with Etsy, the global marketplace for unique and handmade goods, to spotlight Black creators and artists on CashBlack.
The way it worked was simple. Black-owned creators on Etsy got free promotion through CashBlack, and their customers paid less for their products thanks to cashback that was paid from Etsy's commission rather than by the creators. That meant more sales for the shops at no expense to themselves.
Why It Mattered
Black creators have historically been underrepresented in the creative industry. Giving Black artists a dedicated place to be discovered amplifies their voices, talents and unique perspectives, and lets shoppers find beautiful, one-of-a-kind products while directly supporting Black artists and artisans.
